  • About us

  • Word is spreading fast: people are happier with Atlantic. As part of SSE, a FTSE 100 company, our customers are part of the largest energy distribution network in the UK. Including the supply businesses of Scottish Hydro, Southern Electric, SWALEC, SSE, Airtricity and Atlantic, we have over 10 million customer accounts.

    Take control of your energy

We love looking after your pockets - so as well as bringing power to the people, we give people the power to save money by becoming energy-efficient. We are committed to rewarding our customers at each step you take to lower your bills - from choosing paperless billing to lowering your energy usage.

Our approach seems to work and our customers seem to like it - so much so that we’ve picked up a few awards along the way including ‘Best Overall Energy Supplier’ by uSwitch seven times in a row*.

Making the most of the weather

We're also big believers in green energy and as the UK's largest generator of renewable electricity** we're constantly looking at ways to harness the great UK weather. That's why we've built the UK's first deep water wind turbine in the Moray Firth and why we're building the UK's first hydro-electric power station in 50 years.
