Our credit meters give you more choice with the different tariffs that are available. And you can get our biggest discount when you pay your bills by monthly Direct Debit and choose paperless billing.
But we also have a range of other ways for you to pay, so you're bound to find something to suit you.
Arranging a meter change is simple – just contact us and we'll be happy to help.
We'll also want to make sure a credit meter is suitable for you before arranging an appointment. To help you pay your credit meter bills, we'll need to agree a suitable payment plan for you.
If you've got a token or Smart Card meter, you could be paying older and lower prices, until it's adjusted by us. And you'd be expected to pay the new prices from the price change date, not the date that your meter is adjusted. If your meter hasn't been manually adjusted for a long time, you could also see quite a jump in the prices you pay for electricity.
To avoid problems in the future, we're replacing all token and Smart Card meters with modern key meters. These meters are more reliable, easier to use and are updated electronically when prices change. To support this change, you can charge your new key at over 19,000 PayPoint sites across the UK or at your local Post Office.
